The Education Department has issued an official order in which it has declared that all Government, Government-aided and recognised private schools in Delhi will resume their normal hours on Tuesday. The order also asked the heads of the schools to inform the students, parents, and staff of the change in time well in advance. The Education Department had earlier decided to change the hours of the schools in Delhi due to heavy fog and chilly weather. The order had stated that classes would start at 9 am and end by 5 pm on Tuesday. The IMD had reported that the maximum temperature in Delhi on Sunday was 20.3 Celsius, which is slightly lower than the seasonal average. The minimum temperature was 11.9 Celsius, which is three notches higher than the season average. There was light rain in parts of Delhi between 5 am to 8 am, with 3 mm rainfall in the past 24 hours up to 8.30 am. The Air Quality Index was 282, which is considered as ‘poor’ by the CPCB.
