The Government of India has sanctioned the PM-Vidyalaxmi scheme aimed at offering financial assistance to deserving students, ensuring that financial limitations do not hinder any young individual in India from accessing quality higher education. A specialized loan product has been launched to facilitate collateral-free and guarantor-free education loans for meritorious students admitted to the top 860 higher educational institutions in the country. This initiative is supported by a straightforward, transparent, student-friendly, and fully digital application process. Additionally, for students whose families earn up to Rs. 8 lakhs annually, the scheme includes a 3% interest subsidy on loans of up to Rs. 10 lakh.
